  • Navigation. The captain must be able to work their way around a map, use a compass, and guide the crew in the right direction with the ships best intentions at heart. A basic knowledge of the regions and oceans goes hand in hand with this to provide a safe passage from port to port.
  • Paperwork. Applicable to all roles, Each position holds its own respective amount of paperwork, often required to keep track of progress, stock levels and such.
  • Knowledge of the Engines. The ships captain must be aware of the operation of the ship's equipment. This does not mean the captain should be able to function the equipment, but it does mean that they should have knowledge in the operations upon the ship. In order to correctly run a ship one must know the inside and out of its heart.
  • Finance and business. The captain must deal with business involving negotiation if needed, and money like situations. The captain is the one whom should pay the crew if they are working laborers. They must also provide any profit gained through raids and such are divided fairly among the crew members based on their rankings and efforts.
  • Assignment and Monitoring. They must work with the assignment and monitoring of duties performed by all crew members. Giving out positions they feel will apply to the persons offered and monitoring the others in their work
  • Documenting and paperwork. The captain must keep all ships activities in documents and contracts. Noting down everywhere and anywhere the ship has been and are to go. Including writing up the contracts for the ships crew.
  • Knowledge of the crew. For this position one must have adept knowledge of the crew in order to enforce any decisions they feel fit to pass. A base knowledge of each crew member and their position on-board is required of all higher ranking officers as well as the captains adviser.
Other Information The Captain is the founder of the ship, OR the person entrusted to the ship by the founder or the current captain at the time. Temporary positions of captain-ship may be offered out by the captain where the person offered will be able to stand as captain until the contract terminates. Should the captain become incapable of the position, the ships founder will then choose who takes lead or co-captain/First mate will be offered the rank.

  • Punishment.They must be able to offer out fair and just punishment to those who have broken code, rules and agreements. The quarts master should be able to do this with a fair judgement and with acknowledgement of the offence.
  • Keeper of the ships wealth and stocks.They should be aware of the amount of gold, jewels and other form of goods upon the ship and also they should be aware of what goes in and out of the stores.
  • Knowledge of the crew. The first mate must have decent knowledge of the crew in order to enforce any decisions they feel fit to pass. A base knowledge of each crew member and their position on-board is required of all higher ranking officers as well as the captains adviser.

Other Information This position is given to a able person who the Captain feels could take on a leadership role if something was to happen to the higher persons. They are elected on the will to lead, and the communication they have with the other members of the crew.

Other Information The role of Second Mate is more a title given to those whom are deemed worthy enough by the captain and the ships founder to be granted to authority over the other crew. It can be given to any current role.When in this position they keep there past job and also are expected to follow the responsibilities that came with there original job.

This still makes their judgment as fair as that of the first and second mate, though this position is usually given to the most able guard as a safety officer position.   • Decision making. They must have a level head and clear perception when it comes to making important decisions, this role is highly influential on what the captain decides to do from simple daily tasks to planning forward for important missions. A calm and intelligent mind works best in this particular field.
  • Brief knowledge on Lore. They must have a basic knowledge of the lore and such surrounding Morpheus, as often the lore of each of the regions and oceans are what heavily influences the ships next move.
  • Ability to work under pressure. Due to this role being heavily implemented by making quick and efficient decisions the person filling this role must be able to work as well under pressure as they would in a regular environment.
  • Organisation. They must be organised and methodical in their practices, Having a clear work plan and strong work ethic is what makes the person fit for this role.
Other Information The captain's adviser is the one the captain goes to for help advise etc. (As it is in the name) Jobs of the adviser goes to how money will be spent, what route we should take, All in all they are thoughts that the captain will take and in turn decide if he/she will follow. They are there as a secondary judgment to help the captain in command decide what is best for the crew in all circumstances.

  • Route. The main responsibility of the Navigating officer is for them to plan out effective routes to each planned dock. Not only one route but many to offer the captain and her adviser choice for the safest and quickest route.
  • Maps. The Navigator must be able to read and refer to a map at all times to ensure a completely accurate and safe route, A basic knowledge of Morpheus and its oceans and regions are essential for this role.
  • Book smart. The navigator is given access to the ships vast range of books and notes on each region in order to determine where is best to dock as well as where is safe for pirates to take safe passage between their travels.
  • Weather control. The navigator must be able to read the weather from the clouds and signs around in order to determine the upcoming weather conditions that could cause any inconvenience while travelling.
  • Paperwork. Applicable to all roles, Each position holds its own respective amount of paperwork, often required to keep track of progress, stock levels and such.
  • Oceans. The navigator must know about each of the oceans and its dangers to provide the safest of passages between docks, This includes avoiding any nasty bandit hideouts or stories of sirens and such.
  • Lore. The navigator must have some basic knowledge of the lore surrounding Morpheus to avoid any potential threats on their travels.
Other Information The Navigator's role focuses on creating the ship's passage plans. A passage plan is a comprehensive, step by step description of how the voyage is to proceed from berth to berth. The plan includes un-docking, departure, the route portion of a voyage, approach, and mooring at the destination

Other Information Every ship needs a look-out. These have a heavy job and while some might consider their job easy, they do bear all responsibilities if possible warnings are not given in time. Watching shifts are usually with two people at the same time, so if one falls asleep the other can awaken him or her.

Responsibilities The head doctor is the top of medical knowledge within the infirmary, This person is in charge of the main paperwork for all the crew members should they need to be treated as well as ensuring that any crew member be it severely ill or with a minor cold, are all treated equally and with the best care possible. Their tasks include:

  • Knowledge of disease
  • Ability to diagnose and discuss diagnosis
  • Surgery. If required this person must be able to perform surgeries when needed on crew members, this can be anything from minor stitches to fixing broken bones or dealing with internal bleeding. They must also be able to lead surgery's, informing others and discussing procedures.
  • Paperwork. They must fill out and compile all medical files and histories for all the current crew members to ensure underlying or long term conditions remain treated or are given specific care.
  • Medicine.They must be able to distribute appropriate medication to those in need. They must also have basic knowledge of what medicines to give for each health ailment.
  • Shots. The doctor must administer routine shots to the crew members to ensure that region bound diseases are immune throughout the crew no matter what.
  • Checkups. The doctor must perform routine checkups on each of the crew members to ensure everyone is in full health.
Other Information It is up to the Head doctor to ensure the whole crew are in good health and all battle wounds are tended to. Most often found within the infirmary the one chosen to fill this position often has prior medical knowledge or experience which makes them suitable for this job. They must treat all as equals and follow orders given by higher ups if necessary.

  • Keeping track of events on Morpheus.To edit maps if needed, If there is any major change in the lands or who owns what regions then they must be on top of it in order to prevent any un-necessary conflict.
  • Updating and re-working older maps. As soon as news comes in of changes in lands, countries or a storm has ravaged parts of the land maps might need to be updated
Other Information The map artist is required to work hand in hand with the captain and Navigating officer in order to ensure all their work is given the go ahead and that the map the Navigator is using follows the most accurate picture of the land to date.

  • Perform rituals. Might something more then a simple blessing or forgiveness be required, the priests/nuns are capable of setting up and performing rituals for certain favours, questions or whatever floats your boat.
